The Colorado Media Project has covered a lot of ground in three short months, attempting to shed light on the question: What will the future of local news look like, and what can we do to help ensure that more Coloradans have access to the information we need to participate in civil society?
Join us on September 24 as we review what we've learned, what it means for Colorado, and how YOU might be a part of the solution. We will share and lead a discussion on:
- The rapidly changing business of news and information - and realities for local news outlets
- New research on what news sources, formats, and topics Coloradans are most interested in - and willing to pay for
- Prototypes of possible news innovations, designed for and tested in Colorado
- Where we go from here, in partnership with local journalists, entrepreneurs, civic leaders, philanthropists, and community members
